Parents and Athletes,

The FTC Wrestling Team is a member of the Philadelphia Public League as a member of the Liberty Division and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) District XII. Therefore, we compete for city, district, and state titles. Our focus is to promote a wrestling program in which the student can excel to their full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to their total education including their physical well-being, moral character, social and mental development. Wrestlers will wrestle-off weekly to compete for varsity positions. Coach Swift will determine who wrestlers at each particular weight class for each match. It is important that both wrestlers and parents understand that all practices, matches and tournaments are mandatory. If a wrestler misses a match or tournament it hurts the entire team. Here is a link to a video that explains the rules of wrestling to new wrestlers -and parents.
