Updates to the FTCHS Uniform Policy

Dear Franklin Towne Charter High School Community,

Please be advised regarding important updates to our uniform policy for the 2024-2025 school year. These changes are intended to enhance safety, promote equality, and maintain a standard of dress for all students. To view the updated policy, please click here. Updated Uniform Policy Highlights:

Shirt: Students must wear a navy FTC Polo, which must be tucked in to show the entire belt line. Navy blue FTC sweaters, crewnecks, or ¼ zips may be worn over the FTCHS Polo.

Pants: Students are required to wear tan or khaki-colored khaki-style dress pants worn at the waist. Jeans, sweatpants, tights, leggings, yoga pants, dry fit, or performance material pants are not permitted. Shorts, skorts, skirts, capris, low rise, tight, or form-fitting pants are also prohibited.
 
Belts: Belts must be worn properly around the waist. Belt buckles must not exceed 3” x 3” and should not have sharp or pointed edges.

Shoes: Closed-toe shoes with rubber soles and a back are required. Slip-ons, crocs, sandals, flip flops, slippers, boots, or any shoes worn above the ankle are not allowed. On snowy days, students may wear boots to school but must change into appropriate shoes upon arrival.

FTCHS ID Card: Students must wear their FTCHS ID card around their neck in the provided clear plastic case on an FTC lanyard at all times.
Students who do not comply with the uniform policy will face immediate administrative action, including detention and notification of a parent or guardian to bring appropriate clothing.

Admissions


Effective 1/24/2024 PowerSchool payment transactions will include a 3% service fee to pay for the cost of extracurricular activities. The convenience fee will be applied to online payments for school fees, event tickets, or any other services provided by the school. This fee will cover the costs associated with providing secure and efficient transaction services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work towards providing better services for our school community.


Visitors Policy
: To better ensure the security of our building and the safety of our students, all visitors to Franklin Towne Charter High School will need to show a government issued ID in order to enter. During the check-in process, IDs will be entered into our visitor management system and a visitor's badge will be issued. All visitors should check out at the same location when leaving the building.

Transportation: All requests for replacement Septa Fare cards should be communicated through an email to [email protected].
