Towne Reads

Research from the National Endowment of the Arts consistently suggests that reading is a major predictor for personal, social, and professional success in a person’s adult life.  And while Franklin Towne encourages strong analytical reading through our classes, our new initiative Towne Reads aims to make reading simply fun again.  No annotating.  No testing.

Towne Reads is about escaping to an uplifting, shared place through the written word.

Reading The House in the Cerulean Sea, by TJ Klune, as a school is about us all coming together and sharing an experience; it is about sharing our personal views, our likes and dislikes, and our questions as we explore the text as one school.

Join Towne Reads and enjoy the love for reading once more!
