All students interested in trying out for a varsity sport, must have a completed PIAA Form filled out and signed by a medical professional. All PIAA Forms for the upcoming school year can be found below:

Information for Physical Health Exams

Athletic Fee

The Franklin Towne Charter Athletic Fee is charged to each student athlete participating in a varsity sport. The Athletic Fee contributes towards the Philadelphia Public League Fee, field and facility maintenance and up keeping team equipment and additional supplies. The Athletic Fee will be applied to the Parent PowerSchool Account. 

Athletic Fee- $300.00

Students who fail to pay their athletic fee are ineligible to participate in extracurricular activities such as dances and pep rallies.

Mission Statement 
The Franklin Towne Charter High School athletic program is considered an integral part of the secondary education experience. Its purpose is to provide student-athletes with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of athletic activities emphasizing sportsmanship, self-worth, integrity, and success. This program also provides an opportunity for the faculty, staff, and students to share experiences and by doing so, enhances the cohesiveness of the Franklin Towne Charter community. This department's efforts to accomplish this mission reflect Franklin Towne Charter's quest for all-around excellence.

Leagues

The Franklin Towne Charter Athletic Department is a member of the Philadelphia Public League and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) District XII. Therefore, we compete for city, district, and state playoffs.
