Towne Wins National Award!!!!

Dear members of the Franklin Towne Community,

Franklin Towne has a great many things to be proud of.  Our academic program is one of the best in the country and has been proven over and over again to prepare our students to do extraordinary things beyond our walls.  Our extracurricular, and sports program add to the spirit of excellence we hope to achieve.  And our Towne Connections and Renaissance Programs help us stay focused on ensuring that the family spirit that we work so hard to achieve, remains a central focus in all of our planning, and in all that we do.

Over this past weekend, members of our High School staff were invited down to Florida to participate in a national conference that focuses on school excellence.  This conference hosted over 1200 schools form all across our great nation.  Franklin Towne was lucky enough to be one of the 5 schools that was nominated in a few national categories; school tradition, school pride/spirit, and teacher dedication.   We were competing against some of the largest, and most established schools in the country.  And frankly, we were THRILLED just to have been nominated for any one of these awards.

We are proud, overwhelmed, humbled and joyful to announce that Franklin Towne was named the #1 overall school in the nation for school pride/spirit.  This is an outstanding testament to the families, student, teachers, Board members, and community support that is ever-present at the mighty Franklin Towne.  During a time in a nation, where educational achievements are all too often overshadowed by negative stories and attention, it is wonderful to take the time and recognize all of the hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, innovation, and grace it takes to operate a school like OURS!

We have always known that Franklin Towne Schools are something special; and now so does the rest of the nation!  On behalf of the teachers, our fellow administers, and our Board of Directors, we want to congratulate all of the students, families and community members that make what we do, on a daily basis at Franklin Towne, so very, very special!   We could not be more proud to be part of an organization….family….that does what we do, and achieves the way we do.   Go Towne!!!

 With warmest gratitude,
