My name is Gina Marie Tortis and I am the Vocational School Counselor here at Franklin Towne Charter High School. I grew up in the Port Richmond area of Philadelphia and I attended Little Flower High School for Girls. After graduation, I attended Holy Family University in the Northeast section of the city where I received my bachelors degree in Psychology. I then went on to receive my master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Holy Family as well. I also posses a school counselor certification in elementary and secondary education. This will be my second year working at Franklin Towne.
I am looking forward to working in the vocational department again this year at Franklin Towne. I am very passionate about motivating, encouraging, and empowering all of my students. I enjoy helping this population assess their self-advocacy skills, independent living skills, and their workplace readiness skills in order to prepare them for the world of work. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!
