Mrs. Scanga earned her B.S. in Secondary Education/Spanish at Temple University. During her time at Temple, she traveled to Spain where she studied grammar and literature while living with a Spanish family. She has been a member of the Franklin Towne community for ten years, teaching Spanish levels I, II and III.

Spanish II Course Description - This course will continue to focus on students’ development in the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This year students will increase their vocabulary, acquire new verb tenses, and strengthen their proficiency in Spanish. This course will place emphasis on communication through speaking and comprehension skills. Students will also continue cultural enrichment through various readings, writing assignments, and conversation.
 
Spanish III Course Description - Spanish III presents the more complex structures of basic Spanish and expounds on the the themes of the first and second levels of Spanish. This course in an extension of Spanish II that takes what the students have learned and adds a lot of vocabulary, some new verb tenses, and more in-depth cultural experiences.
