I grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and went to Cardinal Dougherty High School. Then I attended Community College of Philadelphia (AA) and Holy Family University (BA) earning a degree in Organizational Psychology. I worked for several years in organizational consulting before earning my Master of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from Temple University. Prior to FTCHS, I coordinated a teen parent center at Swenson High School, through Communities in School/Philadelphia, and worked at Community College of Philadelphia as a high school outreach advisor. In 2014, I earned a certificate in College Counseling from UCLA.
I’ve been a School Counselor at FTCHS since August of 2005. I love my job - supporting our students through high school and beyond. I’m passionate about helping students learn about themselves and apply that to learning to be successful in any situation. Another passion is working with students to learn about careers and colleges, and creating transition plans.
My high school experiences contributed greatly to my professional choices and I want to give every student the support and guidance he/she needs. I believe that all students have great potential. With the right support any dream is attainable, and I’m honored to be a part of that process.
