Naviance/Family Connection

Seniors - Naviance is an essential part of the college application process. Please log-in to your account to review the previous assessments you have completed over the years to assist you in the career and college exploration process. Now is a great time to finalize your college lists and make sure they are up to date under the "Colleges I'm applying to" tab. Many students have built a list of potential schools under the "Colleges I'm thinking about" tab that can assist with building your college list. Seniors should also be utilizing the college search and Super Match College search to assist with finalizing your college list.

Juniors - Naviance use during your Junior year is crucial to prepare yourself for the college application process during your Senior year. Juniors can review their Strengths Explorer and Career Interest Profiler (under the careers tab) that have been completed previously to help you find the right career, majors, and schools that interest you after graduation. The Cluster Finder assessment (under the careers tab) is available if students are looking for more information about what career and major is a good fit for them. Juniors who are looking to find schools that are the best fit for them should be utilizing the college search and Super Match college search to assist with the process. If a school on Naviance interests you, adding it to the "Colleges I'm thinking about" is a great tool to help Juniors develop an initial college list.

Sophomores - In late September, Sophomores will complete the Career Interest Profiler in their English class. This tool is used to help students develop ideas about what potential career and college major will be a good fit for them. Sophomores can always log-in to review results from the Strengths Explorer assessment completed last year. The College Search option is available 24 hours a day for students who are looking to explore potential college options.

Freshman - The class of 2021 will be introduced to the Naviance program during their Intro to Technology course. Counselors will teach a lesson about the program and students will complete the Strengths Explorer to identify their strengths as they relate to the college and career exploration process.

These are just some of the many uses of the Naviance program. Please see your counselor if you are looking to further explore the software or have any issues/questions related to the program.
