Creative Writing and Expressive Club

Adviser(s): Mr. Salcido

Creative Expressions is a club that will meet the first of each month to promote the Open Mic nights that will be hosted in both January and April.  As a club we will be practicing and trying techniques for delivery in song, readings, comedy and storytelling.  In addition to our rehearsal and recruitment efforts we'll also be responsible for creating artwork to help showcase the major mic nights.  Regardless of whether you have the nerve to perform, come on out and make some new friends!

Thursdays, 3:30--till eternity!!!

Club Description:
If you enjoy self-expression, voicing your opinions, or staging the machinations of your wildest thoughts, please attend our sessions every Thursday in room 344.  Our styles of writing range from poetic warm ups, to film reviews, to short story starters, to persuasive non fiction.
In the end, our goal is to contribute to the newest Franklin Towne Literary Magazine.  So Huzzah!  Carpe diem and join Creative Writing!

*Submissions for Literary Magazines can be dropped in any English classroom in the designated shoebox.  Don't be shy!

Coffee House:
Once a month, Creative Writing members as well as general FTC population assemble in the Auditorium to enjoy an Open Mic event.  You are more than welcome to come and display your talents in poetry, storytelling, comedy, singing, musical performances, etc.
The sign up sheet is always outside of room 344 (Mr. Bauer) and you are only required to rehearse the week before the performance.  ALL ARE WELCOME!!!
